吕楠摄影作品集《四季：西藏农民的日常生活》封面图
1996年至2004年，吕楠在西藏的40个村庄拍摄了《四季》。作品以季节为序，从春波到秋收，从等待收获的夏季到漫长的严冬。大自然的意志推动着人在大地上的庄严劳作与平和超然的生活。《四季》避免了生活中的任何事件，而将关注焦点集中于命运的自身。“日常生活”向我们呈现了这种命运的基本尺度。图片中的主人就是用这个尺度在心灵通向至善境地的领悟中去度量他们的前世、今生和来世。
