Yantai's total agricultural output value ranks 1st in Shandong

烟台农业总产值跃居全省首位

In recent years, Yantai in Shandong province has made great strides in deepening supply-side structural reform and exploring the path of high-quality development of its agricultural industry.

近年来，烟台紧紧围绕“产业兴旺”总目标，深入推进农业供给侧结构性改革，积极探索农业产业高质高效发展之路，农业产业基础不断夯实。

In 2022, the city's total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery reached 125.15 billion yuan ($18.19 billion), a year-on-year increase of 5.6 percent, ranking first in Shandong in terms of scale.

2022年，全市农林牧渔业总产值达1251．5亿元，同比增长5．6％，产值规模跃升全省首位。

Ensuring a stable and safe supply of food and agricultural products has always been a top priority for Yantai.

烟台市切实保障重要农产品稳定安全供给，牢牢稳住农业产业基本盘。

The city has built 183,000 mu (12,206 hectares) of high-standard farmland, as well as completed the rectification and transformation of 48,700 mu in abandoned land to ensure high grain yields.

坚决落实粮田必须是良田的要求，新建高标准农田18．3万亩，累计完成4．87万亩撂荒地整治改造，全力保障粮食丰产丰收。

Yantai has made remarkable efforts in preventing and controlling plant diseases and insect pests. In addition, the area of stripe rust in the city accounts for about 0.037 percent of the province's total. In 2022, the grain production area of Yantai hit 4.55 million mu and the grain output totaled about 1.85 million tons, exceeding the provincial target.

扎实做好病虫害防护，全市条锈病见病面积约占全省0．037％，见病面积和占比远低于去年同期，“虫口夺粮”取得丰硕战果。2022年粮食生产面积达455万亩，粮食总产量达184．7万吨，超额完成省定目标任务。

The city has boosted the high-quality development of the fruit industry, renovated 1.32 million mu of old and inferior apple orchards, as well as 8,500 mu of pear orchards. It has also built 13 modern orchards. In 2022, the city's fruit output reached 7.72 million tons, including 6.32 million tons of apples and 600,000 tons of annual exports of apples, accounting for more than half of the country's total.

烟台苹果高质量发展阶段性任务圆满收官，累计改造老劣苹果园132万亩，老劣梨园8500亩，打造500亩以上现代化“大果园”13个。2022年，全市水果产量达到772万吨，其中苹果产量632万吨，年出口60万吨，占全国的一半以上。

Yantai has established a modern animal husbandry industrial system. In 2022, the city's total output of meat, eggs, and milk reached more than 1.51 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.01 percent.

节粮、高效、环保的现代畜牧业产业体系初步建成，2022年全市肉蛋奶总产量151．4万吨，同比增长2．01％。

Deep-sea farming is also taking shape in Yantai with the world's first deep-sea intelligent unmanned fishery farming vessel Marine Granary No 1. There are 46 marine ranch demonstration areas above provincial level in the city.

深远海养殖迈出新步伐，启动设计建造全球首座深远海智能化“无人渔场”养殖工船“海上粮仓一号”。全市共有省级以上海洋牧场示范区46处。

The key to agricultural modernization lies in scientific and technological progress and innovation. Yantai has accelerated the construction of a modern seed industrial system, established 10 breeding teams for the whole "government, learning, research, enterprise, and promotion" chain, as well as cultivated three new varieties.

种子是农业的“芯片”。烟台市加快构建现代种业产业体系，组建“政、学、研、企、推”全链条育种攻关团队10个，育成突破性新品种、新品系3个。

The city has nurtured 18 provincial-level leading enterprises and 57 city-level enterprises. It is home to 146 enterprises with an annual sales income of more than 100 million yuan.

烟台市新增省级重点龙头企业18家、市级龙头企业57家，全市年销售收入过亿元企业146家。
